Architectural photography in Phoenix.

We photograph architecture in Phoenix — hospitals, campuses, resorts, and the commercial projects reshaping the valley.

We're a Salt Lake City architectural photography studio that works throughout the West. Phoenix shoots are planned around desert light, and travel is quoted flat, up front.

What we Photograph in Phoenix

Healthcare facilities, labs, and campuses across the metro. Resorts and hospitality in Scottsdale and beyond. Commercial, industrial, and large-scale construction — including progress documentation from groundbreaking on.

A city street view with a large modern hotel building featuring a green sign that reads 'AC Hotels' and 'Marriott' at the top. The street includes traffic lights, cars, and a cyclist, with clear blue skies above.

Architecture & Exteriors

Completed buildings in their best light — twilight, daylight, and the hour the facade was designed for. We shoot for portfolios, award submissions, and marketing that has to hold up at any size.

Medical & Venues

Hospitals, labs, campuses, and stadiums — places where a shoot has to work around real operations. We plan with your facilities team and photograph without disrupting the day.

Interiors & Workplaces

Offices, lobbies, restaurants, and the rooms people actually use. Carefully styled and lit, but photographed the way they feel to stand in.

Construction Progress

Consistent documentation from groundbreaking to ribbon cutting, shot on a set schedule. Useful for marketing later, invaluable for the project record now.

Our Process

“Every detail of our building was thoughtfully captured. We're thrilled with the outcome.”

The people behind the camera

We think you should know who's photographing your work. Salt Lake Architectural Photography is Nicholas Swan, Cody Lampman, and Mykel Fatali — three photographers, one studio, based in Salt Lake City with a second home base in San Francisco.

A smiling man with blue eyes and a beard, wearing a beige t-shirt, a black cap, and a watch, holding a camera and standing outdoors on a nature trail with trees and greenery in the background.

Nicholas Swan

Has photographed architecture for more than ten years: natural light, compositions that stay out of the work's way, and the studio's San Francisco home for every Bay Area project.

Mykel Fatali

Grew up in a photography family and shoots like it: interiors, precise styling, and the patience to wait for the exact hour a room takes its light.

Cody Lampman

Shoots alongside Nicholas and Mykel and runs the studio: scoping, scheduling, and making sure your images arrive on time and licensed the way you need.

FAQs

How far in advance should we book a Phoenix shoot?

1

Two to three weeks is comfortable; we can move faster when a project needs it. Desert light windows are early and late, so a little lead time buys better scheduling.

Can you photograph a working hospital or campus in Phoenix?

2

Yes — occupied institutional buildings are a specialty. We coordinate with facilities teams and shoot around the building's normal day.

What does a Phoenix project cost?

3

Every job is scoped individually — spaces, image count, usage, timeline — with travel quoted flat and up front. Quotes come back within two business days.

Do you cover Scottsdale, Tempe, and Mesa?

4

The whole metro, yes — and the rest of Arizona when a project calls for it.
